No, Alpha Bank does not charge its Customers for signing up for and using Google Pay.
Adding a card
How can I add a card to Google Pay?
You can add your Alpha Bank debit and credit card through the Google Pay app.
I have not received my card. Can I add it to Google Pay?
No. To register your card with Google Pay, you must first have the physical card in your possession and have it activated.
I cannot complete adding my card to Google Pay. What should I do?
If you were unable to complete the process of adding the card to Google Pay, you can contact Alpha Bank’s Customer Service at + 357 22 877477.
How do I remove a card from Google Pay?
You can remove your card through Google Pay app.
Where can I use Google Pay?
At any physical store that has a POS terminal accepting contactless transactions, as well as for your online purchases.
Can I see my recent Google Pay transactions?
Yes, you can, via Alpha Web Banking and Alpha Mobile Banking.
Can I make contactless transactions at physical stores if my mobile device is not connected to the internet?
Yes, you can.
How will I know that my transaction has been completed?
The final result of the transaction is displayed on the screen of the POS terminal. Google also sends you a push notification of the outcome of the transaction on your mobile phone.
I have registered more than one card with Google Pay. How do I choose the card I want to pay with?
You can choose the card you want to pay with through Google app.
The receipt of the POS terminal shows a card number that is different from that of the card I have registered with Google Pay. Why is this?
The receipt of the POS terminal shows the digital number of the account used for your Google Pay transactions.
Do the Alpha Bank card loyalty programs also apply to transactions made via Google Pay?
Transactions made with Alpha Bank Cashback Mastercard via Google Pay are rewarded as per usual.
The physical card I registered with Google Pay has been lost/stolen. What should I do?
For immediately reporting the loss/theft of your card, please contact Alpha Bank's Customer Service at + 357 22 877477.
Your physical card will be replaced and, after you receive it and activate it, Google Pay will be automatically updated without any further action being required on your part.
My Android device has been lost/stolen. What should I do?
You should contact Alpha Bank’s Customer Service at + 357 22 877477 in order to have your cards deleted from Google Pay.
What will happen if I replace or update (reinstall) my device?
If you replace or update your device, you will need to add again your card(s) to Google Pay, by following the card addition process. Be sure to remove your card(s) from Google Pay before replacing your device.

I want to activate the Google Pay payment feature through my smart watch. Which smart watches are involved and what steps should I follow?
NFC-enabled smartwatches and Wear OS 2.15 or later support Google Pay! The card is added by opening Google Pay on your smart watch and following the steps in the application, on the smart watch and on the mobile phone that you have already connected to your watch.
